America is a population skiing destination and it is not hard to see why. Its resorts receive around double the amount of snow in a season compared to a French resort and have some of the freshest powder around. There are plenty of American resorts to choose from but we have picked out our favourites.
Whistler, Canada – Unrivalled ski destination
Spread over 8000 acres of mountain terrain, including a dozen alpine bowls, several glaciers and more than 200 marked trails this beautiful resort is situation along the stunning coast mountains of British Columbia and just 75 miles north of Vancouver is the world’s top ski resort, Whistler. It is served by 33 lifts, meaning you only ever have to take one or two lifts to get to most parts of the resort. A popular resort for A-list celebs and some of the luxury ski chalets and catered ski chalets will make you feel like a celebrity yourself. Whistler held the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games, firmly establishing Whistler’s place on the world stage.
Jackson Hole, USA –Lots of new additions for this season
